2019 GMC Terrain Denali 301HP 3.6-liter V6 Review & Changes – Now it is time for GM’s truck department to shake issues up in the Terrain’s range with the demonstration of the 2019 model ahead of time of its world premiere at the New York International Auto Show in April. There are two things you require to understand about the 2019 Terrain: the first is that GMC has exchanged the existing model’s 3.0-liter V6 with a more recent 3.6-liter V6 unit, and the second, that it has released an elegant Denali variant into the Terrain’s lineup for the really first time.
Beginning with the new 3.6-liter V6 that will be available for both the regular Terrain and the luxed-up Terrain Denali, it produces 301-horsepower and 272 lb.-ft. (369 Nm) of torque, compared to 264hp and 222 lb-ft of the 3.0-liter V6. Despite the improvement in power and torque, GM says that it desires the new Terrain to provide fuel economy equivalent to its predecessor.
The 182hp 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine carries on unchanged for the 2019MY and will be presented on the Denali version as well. All-wheel drive is available as a choice for equal engines. The Terrain can become the eighth model in GMC’s present lineup to be presented with the trendy Denali trim level. “Denali is expanding speedy,” explained Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice leader of GMC Marketing and advertising. “With seven diverse models, sales for this brand within a brand increased 79 percent from 2010 to 2011. With this particular in mind, the choice to generate a much more-trendy Terrain was an easy one.”
So what does the Denali grade take to the 2019 Terrain? For beginners, there’s an exterior package that brings customized 18-inch wheels for the 4-cylinder model and 19-inch for the V6, a chrome grille and satin chrome decorations, distinct headlamp and taillight designs, plus body-colored fascias and rocker individual panels.
Inside, the Denali models feature special soft-touch Jet Black leather that outlines the seats and door inserts and is contrasted by red accent sewing, which is also current on the dashboard, embossed Denali trademarks on the seats, mahogany timber trim decorations on the dash and the steering wheel, plus eight-way power driver and passenger seat. The Denali models can come as standard with GMC’s new infotainment system featuring a reconfigurable home screen and a programmable power liftgate. The 2019 GMC Terrain and Terrain Denali will go for sale afterward this year. Rates have not yet been released.
